Jeff Cottle will be speaking on the topic of false responses, conveying his professional expertise in explosive detection work and relating it to nose work training and trialing. Jeff’s article “False Responses Don’t Have to Remain False Responses” was published in a National Organization called International Association for Bomb Technicians Inc.  Jeff will discuss some of the contributing factors of false responses and the unreliability it creates in the minds of handlers. Jeff will share information on why dogs false respond and offer some suggestions on how to recognize these responses, work through them and solve them.  Whether or not you have a dog that false responses, the information Jeff will share in this webinar will help any nose work team training and trialing as it also discusses the handler’s role in creating false responses in training and best practices to avoid creating false response problems.  This webinar aims to help build confidence and trust with regards to identifying a dog’s response to target odor.
